more about me

I discovered my passion for people and their stories back in 2014 and haven't looked back. I trained as a person centred counsellor initially and have gained hours of experience through various voluntary and paid counselling positions.

Some of my training includes Transactional Analysis, DID awareness, sexual violence, couples counselling, attachment, LGBT, trauma, self harm and working online.

I qualified with the University of Worcester and more recently I completed a first in my Bachelors degree with the University of Wales. CPD or training never stops, this industry is ever evolving and there is always something else to learn.

Working as a private practice counsellor in Port Talbot means I get to meet some wonderful people from all walks of life, at various life stages, helping them heal and recover from some very difficult times, whilst in the shadows of the beautiful landscape etched across South Wales.

I look forward to hearing from you, you will be in safe hands.

What's important for you

The 'Fit'

Study after study shows that successful therapy depends on the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client, you’re much better off seeing a graduate student, you connect with, than a 40-year veteran and author with whom you don’t feel understood.

The 'Therapist'

You should ask your counsellor if they have had personal therapy.

I certainly have, I have invested in me so you can invest in you. Completing my own therapy ensures I can sit with you, leaving my own experiences out of the room. I have been in your shoes, I have walked through that door and I have been empowered, healed and grown because of it.

The 'Conclusion'

-Want change.

-Make sure we fit.

-Trust in the process.

For everyone looking for counselling in Port Talbot.
